Note:
Always stir well before use in order to have a balanced shito-oil mix with each scoop
Shito means “pepper” in the Ga language. So, it’s a Ghanaian hot chili condiment served as a hot and spicy sauce with many traditional dishes, including fish and meat dishes, steamed white rice, green vegetables, fried plantains, and eba and waakye (which is a dish containing rice and beans).
Please note that this source may be chilli hot . If you wish to tamper down the heat, you may use yoghurt.
Made with a blend of fish, shrimp, onions, tomatoes, carrot, bell pepper, ginger, and chilli, this sauce is the perfect mix of spicy and savoury. It pairs perfectly with steamed rice, kenkey, gari, and even spring rolls. Whether you're a fan of spicy foods or looking to try something new, the Spicy Shito Sauce is sure to please.
